2018/1439 Ramadan Prep at ISGH
Assalamu'Alikum,
May Allah grant us the ability to reach Ramadan and help us to fast and pray during Ramadan and spare us from the hell fire, Ameen.
The holy month of Ramadan for 2018/1439 may begin on Wednesday i.e May 16th and we will have our first Taraweeh at ISGH on Tuesday, May 15th, In Shaa Allah.
Taraweeh will start immediately after Isha Salah and will be led by Hafiz Anwar, Hafiz Ahmed and Hafiz Imran, In Shaa Allah.
ISGH will be hosting free community iftar every Saturday of Ramadan. Everyone is invited. If you’re interested in participating/sponsoring for one of these iftars at ISGH, please contact one of the council members or click on the following link. You will be able to sponsor fruits, water, paper products or food In ShaaAllah.
We’ll be having our Ramadan Fundraising dinner on second Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at 8pm, In Shaa Allah and we would like to cordially invite everyone to this iftar. We encourage everyone to please attend and donate during this holy month. These donations will go in supporting Hifz/Cyber/Evening School and towards maintaining our large complex. Your participation is very important to us in making this fundraiser successful, and we look forward to see you there and helping us in our efforts.

Bio of Speaker Mohammad Shallah
My name is Mohamed Shallan, I graduated from Rutgers University with an Accounting and Marketing Degrees. I currently work for Samsung as a Consumer Insights & Research Specialist. I live in Edison, NJ with my wife. I’ve been active with Youth since 2010 as YM Coordinator at PCIE in Plainfield, NJ from 2010-2013 and YM Memorial Coordinator in Masjid AlFarouq in Houston, TX from 2013-2015. I have been a student of AlMaghrib Institute since 2011 studying under Sh Yasir Qadhi, Sh Waleed, Basyouni, Sh Yaser Birjas and many others. I’ve been giving Khutbahs and Lectures since 2014 in both Houston and NJ as well as doing Fundraisers for several national organizations such as ICNA Relief, Helping Hands, and WhyIslam. I have also studied under Shaykh Salah AlSawwy for a little over a year while in Houston and Shaykh Hatem AlHaj for 2 years (and ongoing) in Edison, NJ. I recently completed the memorization of the Quran with Shaykh Mamdouh Mahmoud in Houston, TX and currently working on my Ijazah to teach.
Bio of Speaker Dr. Salman Majeed
Dr. Salman Majeed is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Majeed provides clinical care, teaches medical students and trainee doctors and is involved in different research activities. He is particularly interested in educating, parenting and healthy child development. Currently, he is also serving as the President of Central PA Child Psychiatry organization, AACAP.
Dr. Majeed completed his psychiatry residency at Drexel University College of Medicine Philadelphia and Child fellowship at Brown University, Rhode Island.
He has written several articles and recently gave a video interview for various parenting-related topics. Dr. Majeed is actively engaged in our community.
